In my quest for health, I experimented with various so-called healthy snacks, believing they would make me feel… well, healthier. However, I soon discovered that many commercial snacks are packed with high sugar content and hidden ingredients that do little to nourish my body, especially in Singapore's bustling, sweaty environment.
A major concern for me is the excessive sugar found in many snacks, often added to make them addictive. This leads consumers to feel hungry shortly after eating, creating a cycle of overconsumption that contributes to the onset of various diseases. This issue resonates deeply with me, as my elderly mother is mildly diabetic, and I want her to enjoy sweet treats without worry. That’s why all of my bakes are crafted with reduced or zero sugar, allowing everyone in my family—including my mom—to indulge guilt-free.
